Spanish Moon can shine again after a poor run at Royal Ascot by
taking the William Ewart Properties Gala Stakes at Sandown tomorrow.
The lightly-raced four-year-old was sent off 3-1 second-
favourite for the Hardwicke Stakes on the back of making a
successful return at Ascot in May.
However, supporters of Sir Michael Stoute's charge probably knew
their fate just before the off when he got too warm and played up at
the start.
He then proceeded to run too free in the early stages and
eventually finished sixth behind Macarthur.
