Prince William joined a Westcountry-based Royal Navy helicopter
crew that swooped on a speedboat carrying a pounds40 million cocaine
shipment.
He took part in the airborne raid against a drug-laden speedboat.
The Prince was serving on board the naval warship HMS Iron Duke
in the Caribbean when the ship's Lynx helicopter, based at RNAS
Yeovilton in Somerset, intercepted a ocean-going boat travelling at
speed.
The Ministry of Defence confirmed a "crew of six, including the
Prince" were on the helicopter which ordered the boat to stop. The
vessel was found to be carrying 45 bales of cocaine, weighing a
total of 900kg.
The ship's captain said William was also involved in planning the
