Vivienne Westwood has designs on second shop

FASHION designer Dame Vivienne Westwood will open a boutique in York later this year as part of a growing chain of stores to showcase her work nationally.

The veteran designer, famed across the globe for her often outrageous clothing and accessories, is planning to unveil the new shop early in September. It will be her second dedicated outlet in the Yorkshire region.

The York branch is earmarked for Blake Street, close to the city's Royal Theatre, and will join an existing chain of boutiques in Leeds, London, Manchester, Liverpool, Newcastle-upon-Tyne and a recently-opened store in Nottingham.
