AN epic 10-month round-the-world yacht race should draw to a
close tomorrow - with a team from Hull insisting they can still win.
One of the key themes of William Wilberforce's anti-slavery
campaign will be ringing in the ears of the Hull & Humber yacht's
crew when they leave Cork today on the final leg of the Clipper
Round The World Yacht Race.
They know they have a mountain to climb to beat race leader New
York but believe they can win.
"We have worked on the four words of Wilberforce - pride,
freedom, belief and change - and the key one here is belief,"
skipper Danny Watson said.
Light winds are expected when a cannon sounds at midday to signal
the beginning of the end of the ten months ...
