Lamoine girl charged in fatal Conn. accident

A 17-year-old girl from Lamoine is facing numerous charges, including vehicular manslaughter, after an accident in southeastern Connecticut that resulted in the death of a male passenger.

The name of the girl is not being released because she is a juvenile. She also is accused of driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicants.

The accident occurred about a quarter-mile from the Connecticut- New York border around 11:30 p.m. Friday, June 27, in the town of Ridgefield, Conn., according to a press release issued by the Ridgefield Police Department.
