All Lanes Open At Leola Pool

Members of the Leola Community Pool can breathe easy today.

The facility's eight-lane, 25-meter competitive pool, formally known as the East Pool, reopened at noon, after more than a year's worth of reconstruction.

It's a relief for me and for the public, because our members have endured a lot over the last 13 months, said Chris Miller, the pool's manager.

Pool operators found leaks in the East Pool, 23 E. Main St., Leola, in April 2005 and 2006 but were able to repair them before the swim season began.
