Restaurant row on N. Milwaukee St. will grow by two, with Asian
fusion and nuevo Latino restaurants due to open.
Umami Moto will open July 11 at 718 N. Milwaukee St., in the
space formerly occupied by the club Eve, and Charro will open in
late summer at 729 N. Milwaukee St., last occupied by the club
Tangerine.
Omar Shaikh, an owner of both new restaurants with Tom Wackman
and Michael Polaski, said the new Umami Moto shares a name and
concept with the restaurant in Brookfield, owned solely by Polaski.
The downtown Umami has a different executive chef, Dominic Zumpano.
Zumpano most recently worked in Arizona, at Elements restaurant
at the Sanctuary on Camelback resort with executive chef Beau ...
