The Air Tattoo has its aircraft and its pilots . . . but where
would it be without the volunteer workers who help keep the event
running smoothly? WEEKEND spoke to two groups of volunteers for whom
the annual air tattoo is a family affair
Air Tattoo weekend is already marked in the diaries of the
Winckles family from Lechlade.
Dad Simon, mum Marian and daughters Zoey, 27, and Victoria, 24,
have all been involved over the years, and three of them -
Victoria's now teaching in Rugby and unable to attend this year -
are looking forward to playing their part in the 2008 event.
Simon, who's semi-retired, and dental nurse Zoey, have been
helping at the Air Tattoo since 1997.
