Article: Motor City touches all bases, sweeps Lincoln

BANGOR - The Motor City American Legion baseball team featured nearly every aspect of the game - pitching, defense, plate discipline and timely hitting - in Saturday's Zone 1 doubleheader with Lincoln.

The hosts erupted for 13 runs and nine hits in a 13-5 romp in the first game while three pitchers combined on a three-hitter in a 3-1 victory in the nightcap at Husson College's Winkin Complex.

Motor City climbed above the .500 mark with the sweep, improving to 5-4 heading into Sunday's nine-inning contest with Calais, while Lincoln dipped to 3-7.
