In the 1800s, Thomas Edison invented the incandescent light bulb. And great inventions were made to be improved upon.

These days, people who are concerned with saving energy - and on their bills - are opting for those funny shaped compact fluorescent lights.

The bulbs, which are sometimes called CFLs, save consumers a pretty penny when their electric bill comes out. They also are used to save energy and decrease pollution.
