Kenyan runners seek Beijing Olympic tickets at national trials

NAIROBI, July 3 (Xinhua) -- Kenyan runners are on Friday expected to battle for a place at next month's Olympic Games which will be held in Beijing, China.

The two-day national athletics trials to be held in Nairobi will be used by the Athletics Kenya (AK) to select the Olympics team to represent the country at the Games.

Olympic 3,000m steeplechase champion, Ezekiel Kemboi, begins his title defense by fighting for a place in the Kenya squad for Beijing in a potent field of 23 runners at the trials that start on Friday.
