On Wednesday, Gazette readers were asked their opinion on the latest proposal to build a Wal-Mart on the site of the Owens Industrial Park in Kanawha City. Here are some of the comments received:

I live on 58th street and want Wal-Mart and other developments in Kanawha City. What do city officials propose to do about the industrial waste that this site contains? I say let big business like Wal-Mart clean it up instead of my tax dollars. Ask Kanawha City First if they want their kids playing soccer on top of West Virginia's version of Love Canal.
