PHILHARMONIC CHORUS NAMES NEW CONDUCTOR

The Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra has appointed Dennis Malfatti, an assistant professor at the University of Evansville, as new conductor of the Evansville Philharmonic Chorus.

Malfatti also serves as director of choral activities at UE, where he has just completed his first year on the faculty. He previously was director of choral activities at Longwood University in Virginia and music director for the York River Symphony Orchestra.

Malfatti takes up the new post from Joseph Eukwan Choi, who, in May, resigned as assistant conductor for the philharmonic and conductor for the chorus after three years in the job.
