Tour champ knows weigh to Paris

Given the way Jan Ullrich devoured the competition last year, it seemed all but certain that this Tour de France would be another picnic for the 24-year-old German "wunderkind" and his Telekom teammates.

That, however, was before Ullrich's "winter bacon crisis," as it has been dubbed by the German press. To sum up his training philosophy: "Nautilus? Nein. Knockwurst? Fine."
