Charity shops are appealing for desperately-needed donations from
the public to replace dwindling stocks.
As the credit crunch bites deeper, more and more people are
looking to charity shops for items rather than hitting the high
street stores.
Devon Air Ambulance has appealed for new items for its shops in
Exeter, Exmouth, Topsham and Honiton.
The air ambulance relies hugely on the revenue generated by its
retail outlets and stock levels have recently fallen rapidly.
Chrissie Peel, retail manager for the Devon Air Ambulance Trust,
said: "We receive fantastic support from the public in donating
their unwanted items to our charity shops. We very much appreciate
this.
