A HALF-century from overseas player Greg Smith wasn't quite
enough to brighten the day for App-Frod as rain interfered yet again
during their match at Barnsley.
Despite valiant efforts from all concerned, the weather was the
only real winner on the day as the match was forced to be abandoned.
In a game reduced to 38 overs each, only six had been bowled when
a violent thunderstorm gathered overhead.
A remarkable effort by all meant play resumed just over two hours
later.
