Justin Langer believes "exciting times" lie ahead in the future
for Somerset Cricket Club and the experienced Australian wants to be
part of them.
The 37-year-old batsman last night agreed a new contract with the
Cidermen, one which will see him return to the County Ground for the
2009 season.
Now into his third season with Somerset, Langer is keen to
prolong his stay in the Westcountry and help drive the club onto the
next level.
A veteran of 105 Australian Test matches, Langer spent just five
weeks with the Cidermen in 2006, during which time he set a new
county batting record of 342 against Surrey.
