Kitty Boggis was the top British rider in the CIC two-star
international one-day event section at the St James's Place Barbury
Castle International Horse Trials, near Marlborough, last weekend.
The Chippenham rider finished just behind Antipodean Olympians
Brook Staples and Andrew Nicholson and ahead of top New Zealand
rider Dan Jocelyn and 2007 Barbury three-star winner Chris King in
an extremely strong competition.
Riding 12-year-old Kings Cross, Boggis made up for having one
show jumping fence down when she jumped one of the quickest cross
country rounds in the section, coming home with just 0.4 of a time
penalty over Captain Mark Phillips' testing course.
