Isaac Newton would have loved baseball.
For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.
On the field, that can mean a ball jumping off a bat and
careening toward the foul pole. Off the field, though, is where the
St. Louis Cardinals now face the prospect of having to react to
trades made by rivals to acquire pitchers CC Sabathia (Brewers) and
Rich Harden (Cubs).
Cardinals general manager John Mozeliak has downplayed the
possibilities, but the facts say otherwise:
