NEW YORK - In a room full of stars, where names like Utley and
Chipper and Jeter and Manny dominated Monday's proceedings at the
Grand Hyatt Hotel in Manhattan, Alex Rodriguez left little doubt
which star would command the center stage in tonight's 79th All-
Star Game.
There's not a bigger star than Yankee Stadium, The Yankees third
baseman said. I've been in 12 All-Star Games and I don't think
there's a better venue in the world to celebrate our game.
Tonight's game marks the fourth and final Midsummer Classic at
the House That Ruth Built, and that Gehrig, DiMaggio, Mantle,
Jackson and Jeter have paid the rent on.
