Sean Hooper's St Austell side were unable to make it a weekend
double when they were held to a draw by Newquay in yesterday's
Jolly's Drinks ECB Cornwall Premier League clash.
Having claimed an eight-wicket win over lowly Grampound Road on
Saturday, St Austell posted a creditable 213 for eight in
yesterday's game at the Sports Centre.
Matt Rowe top scored for the visitors with 56, while Dan Jarman
(45) and Mike Bone (25) also weighed in with healthy contributions
along the way. Pick of the home bowling was Cornwall spinner Neil
Ivamy, who took three for 65.
In reply, Adam Cocking's 49 and Joe Crane's 46 were the
highlights of the Newquay batting, while Bone capped a fine
individual ...
