A TWO-day strike by local government workers was due to begin
today with about 2,700 North Lincolnshire members taking part.
More than 2,500 members of the Unison trade union's local
government branch were being joined by 257 members of Unite.
The strike has been called following the failure of pay
negotiations.
As reported yesterday, five schools have been closed, with day
centres, libraries and local link offices also affected.
Bottesford Youth Centre will also be closed for two days.
In addition to the services which have already reported
disruptions, Goxhill Library will be closed today and Riddings
