The LPGA State Farm Classic begins its four-day run today lacking the star power on the women's professional golf tour. The biggest name at Panther Creek Country Club this week isn't even an official LPGA Tour member. At least, Michelle Wie still attracts a curious crowd wherever she goes.

"It is definitely disappointing to see," said Christina Kim, who was runner-up here last year to Sherri Steinhauer. "This is one of those few tournaments that have always been there for us. I'm not one for comparisons, but it's starting to become more like the PGA Tour where players are being a little more selective."
