Margaret M. Cleveland, 91, died July 15, 2008. She had been a
resident at Willow Valley for 15 years. She was the wife of Hugh
Cleveland, with whom she celebrated 66 years of marriage in August
of 2007. Born in Newark, NJ, she was the daughter of the late
Charles P. and Beulah Morris Merchant. She formerly lived in
Chatham, NJ and had been a 65-year member of the Ogden Memorial
Presbyterian Church there. A graduate of Douglass, The New Jersey
College for Women, she was active in the Chatham Women's Club, the
Madison Golf Club, and was a 21-year volunteer with Meals on Wheels.
