The American Transmission Co. LLC doesn't want to bury a 345-
kilovolt transmission line in Dane County, but it won't get its way
without a battle.
"Of course we'll be continuing the fight," said Harvey Temkin,
spokesman for the Coalition for an Underground Alternative LLC, a
group challenging ATC's decision to run the line aboveground. "We
have a valid point to make."
The Public Service Commission of Wisconsin last week ruled ATC's
proposal complete, and started its 360-day review of a line running
from Rockdale to West Middleton. The proposal will be open to
several public hearings in the next year.
PSC officials do not comment on projects while they are under
review.
