There was a small Greene County contingent of runners and walkers
at the U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials June 27-July 6 in Eugene,
Ore.
Tara Storage of Beavercreek finished 21st in the 10,000 (6.2
miles) meter run. In the 20 kilometer (12.4 miles) racewalk, Matt
Boyles of Cedarville was second in the men's event while Susan
Randall of Beavercreek was 11th among the women. Vince Peters, track
coach at Yellow Springs High School, is the national racewalking
chairman for USA Track and Field, which ran the Trials.
