IT'S tempting to think that Ian Baker-Finch was a touch envious
when commentating for CBS Sports on his compatriot Greg Norman
rolling back the years at Royal Birkdale yesterday.
As a former champion who remains eligible until he turns 65, the
Australian who came from nowhere to win the Open at Birkdale in 1991
could have been out there himself.
No other Open champion has ever bettered the final two rounds of
64 and 66 Baker-Finch carved out to get his hands on the Claret Jug
