Whether or not he likes it, Marion Deaton is a star. And lucky
for the Memphis, Tenn., singer - give or take a mug shot and a few
ounces of narcotic mushrooms - he has a pretty fantastic reputation.
Deaton, 67, is a Willie Nelson look-alike, and while walking down
the streets of Nashville, Tenn., or Las Vegas, Deaton is Nelson. But
a disguise only takes him so far.
"I try to keep my hair in a ponytail," Deaton confided during a
telephone interview, "stay low-profile."
Not only is Deaton a Nelson look-alike; he also happens to be a
sound-alike; and he has managed to turn these two traits into a
career.
Deaton said it would be wrong to label him a Willie Nelson
