The theme of this year's Washington County Fair, scheduled to run
from Tuesday through next Sunday, is "a celebration 150 years in the
making."
From the opening night tractor pull and Fairest of the Fair
pageant on Tuesday to the closing day's truck pull and rooster-
crowing contest, the 2008 fair promises "133 acres of fun" at the
county's Fair Park on county Highway PV just east of U.S. Highway
45. A rodeo is the main stage attraction Wednesday, beginning at
6:30 p.m. Music takes over the main stage Thursday through Saturday
evenings: Chasin' Mason and Phil Vassar are booked on Thursday;
Blues Traveler, Live and Collective Soul perform on Friday; and Styx
and Boston share the spotlights ...
