The young Christians who shared free food and music at Davis Park
on Saturday didn't appear to have much in common.
Those wearing heavy-metal-influenced clothing fellowshipped with
people sporting dreadlocks, piercings and polo shirts while local
bands played on the stage.
But members of The Bridge said the only thing they need to share
is the desire to love people and help those in need by building
relationships.
"We're Christians getting outside of the walls. We just sincerely
want to do what God wants us to do," said Charessa Wilkinson, who
established the ministry several years ago in Ravenswood.
"We're about people loving people," Wilkinson said.
