Article: Authorities seek pair of bank robbers

One robber kept a baseball cap on as he hit bank after bank while the less prolific bandit stood out for his apologetic demeanor.

The FBI remains on the lookout for the robbers it dubbed the "Baseball Bandit" and the "Polite Bandit."

Both knocked off banks in Los Angeles County, then stopped. But authorities believe the two didn't cease their robbing ways for altruistic reasons.

"Sometimes bank robbers would go away for months and sometimes years then come back. We still have open cases on those bandits," said Laura Eimiller, spokeswoman for the FBI.
