Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service had not previously prosecuted for the offence but secured a conviction at Honiton Magistrates' Court last week.

Richard Eley, owner of the Delderfields store, in Sidmouth, pleaded guilty to having committed an offence under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
