Florin Ion Firimita, one of the artists featured at the opening
of White Space Gallery July 31, said he's been waiting for a gallery
like this to come along. "I have been living and making art in the
United States for over a decade, and I have been waiting for a
gallery of this caliber to come to life," he said later.
"And I don't think I'm making an overstatement by saying that
when it comes to both the quality and the art on display and the
commitment of the gallery staff to the artists represented, the
White Space Gallery is the best gallery in Connecticut."
Firimita was also quick to point out that the July 31 event
marked an important milestone in his life and career.
"Fourteen years ...
