Class VI River Runners (based in Lansing, W.Va.) is one of only
two outfitters in the Southeast to offer bateau trips, the only one
on white water with the kayak alternative. The Aug. 7-9 family
paddling adventure travels mild rapids of the Upper New River in the
bateau and "duckies," inflatable kayaks that children as young as 6
