(Beijing Olympics) Japan's IOC vice president applauds Beijing Olympics preparation

TOKYO, July 24 (Xinhua) -- "As the Beijing Olympics boasts many outstanding sports venues, I believe athletes around the world could achieve better scores in the better conditions," International Olympic Committee (IOC) Vice President Chiharu Igaya applauded the Beijing Olympics preparation during a recent interview with Xinhua.

Igaya, who is also an executive board member of the Japanese Olympic Committee, praised Beijing for adopting brand-new designs and advanced technologies in Olympic facilities to create favorable sports conditions for athletes.
