Hull: A ceremonial flag for Yorkshire is set to be unfurled next
week in a ceremony in the city.
Featuring the Yorkshire white rose emblem, the flag was recently
registered with the UK Flag Institute by the Yorkshire Ridings
Society.
The registration gives the flag exempt status and means it can be
flown without planning permission.
In addition, it also prevents the flag from being registered by
any other body.
