For professional athletes, it's always convenient to have nicknames that rhyme with the sound of boos from the crowd.

Suffice it to say the packed house at Miller Park on Sunday afternoon was not chanting "Soup! Soup!" when Milwaukee Brewers right-hander Jeff Suppan walked to the home dugout after the top of the fifth inning.

"Were they booing me?" Suppan asked reporters afterward, feigning ignorance. "That's part of the game."

Some of those boos no doubt were directed at Brewers manager Ned Yost, who allowed Suppan to surrender seven runs in that inning, erasing a three-run lead by his club and propelling the Houston Astros to an 11-6 victory that disappointed the 41,565 on hand.
