In only his 10th game in charge of FC, Richard Agar masterminded a 32-24 victory over Wakefield to send the Black and Whites to Wembley.

It continues a family tradition after Mr Agar senior won the competition as both a player and a coach in the 1980s.

Allan Agar first lifted the trophy as a player with Hull KR in 1980 - the legendary derby final against Hull FC.

He then went on to further success as coach of Featherstone Rovers in 1983.
