A campaign for another bypass at Honiton is being supported by
South West MEP Neil Parish.
Mr Parish's backing has added weight to the local appeal for an
A35 bypass to the east of the town.
The project involves diverting the A35 from Axminster away from
the fringe of the town centre.
The scheme does not feature on the South West Regional
Assembly's multi-million pound roads shopping list, stretching to
2016.
But an assembly spokes- man recently said the Government might
ask the regions to reconsider their list of priorities next year.
