Plymouth Albion are planning a new share issue in a bid to raise at least pounds500,000.

The National Division One club have spent in excess of pounds1.4 million on ground improvements at Brickfields in the last 12 months. And the club say that repayment commitments could have an 'adverse impact' on funds available for the team.

Therefore, in a bid to generate extra revenue, which will help the club with their long-term aim of gaining promotion to the Guinness Premiership, Albion are proposing a share issue.

Information packs are being sent out to sponsors, members and supporters this week.
