The events of the last two nights delivered another message to the
Alley Cats, a message reaffirming their inconsistency and
illustrating the perils of a long season.
On the game's opening pitch Friday night at Watt Powell Park,
Hagerstown's Tony Peters rocketed a home run to left, setting the
tone for the Suns' 11-4 victory in which the Cats trailed 11-0 in the
seventh.
On Thursday night at Hickory, the Alley Cats played 15 innings,
collected just five hits and suffered a 3-0 loss in three hours, 54
minutes.
