Triathlon The 11th City of Bath Triathlon took place on Sunday in
very hot conditions at the University of Bath sports training
village.
The event, run by the Bath Amphibians Triathlon Club, saw the
swim take place in the 50m pool and the cycle leg held in the
beautiful, but hilly, North East Somerset countryside, before a
deceptively undulating run that finished on the university running
track.
In the open Olympic distance race, Matthew Newman (2.04:51), of
BAD Tri, put in a storming performance to beat James Leitch
(2.08:26) and Adam Wells (2.10:43) into second and third place
respectively.
The fastest female was Michelle Lee (2.17:34), of MK/X2U. She
