Splash out millions on Cheltenham Art Gallery & Museum, but don't
forget the rest of the town.
That's the message from borough councillor Paul Mclain, who says
all the arts in the town must be supported.
Cheltenham Borough Council has agreed to spend another pounds2
million on redeveloping the art gallery and museum.
The scheme is expected to cost a total of pounds5 million, but
Coun Paul McLain (C, Battledown), says he can see why other groups,
such as the festivals and The Everyman theatre, might be concerned.
He said: "If we are putting our money where are mouths are for
the art gallery and museum we should do it for the rest of the arts
as well.
"The council can't rest on its laurels ...
