Disabled city table tennis star David Wetherill has admitted he
is not expected to get far in the Beijing Paralympics.
The 18-year-old Torpoint student should go out in the group
stages, according to some experts.
World-ranked number nine Wetherill rated himself as a fringe hope
of landing a medal for Great Britain. But he said: "I think I can
beat anybody - it's just doing it on a regular basis.
"I put a lot of pressure on myself, but I think that maybe I've
got an outside chance of a medal.
"If I play my best - and get a bit of luck, because you always
need luck in a competition - then anything may happen."
