Cornwall captain Tom Sharp last night admitted he was "satisfied"
with his side's showing on the opening day of their Minor Counties
Championship clash with Dorset at Bournemouth's Dean Park.
With half the day's overs lost due to adverse weather, Sharp won
the delayed toss and elected to throw the hosts into bat under the
difficult conditions.
The Duchy were forced into a couple of late changes, Gary Thomas
came in for wicketkeeper Gavin Edwards, while Newquay's Joe Crane
also came in as a late replacement for Falmouth's Antony Angove.
With Edwards sidelined with a hand injury, plus Mark Horwell and
Taylor Williams also sidelined, it meant only a second county start
for St Austell's Matthew ...
