St James's rises above the turmoil to add staff

WEALTH management company St James's Place yesterday revealed that it had increased its staffing levels in Yorkshire and the North East by 5.5 per cent over the last six months, despite the turbulence in the equity markets.

St James's Place delivered a bullish assessment of its prospects in Yorkshire as it posted half year results that broadly met expectations.

It has 154 partners - in other words, staff - in the North East region, which includes Yorkshire, with 110 of these reporting to the Leeds office.
