Article: UWW to offer bachelor's degree <> Campus partners with UW-Oshkosh on 4-year liberal studies program

Waukesha -- In what could be the start of rapid growth at the University of Wisconsin-Waukesha, officials Tuesday signed an agreement bringing a new UW-Oshkosh bachelor's degree to the two- year campus.

Starting this fall, students in Waukesha can obtain a bachelor of arts in liberal studies from UW-Oshkosh without ever traveling to that campus.

It is part of a long-debated effort to expand educational offerings at UW-Waukesha beyond its traditional two-year associate's degrees.

Patrick Schmitt, dean of the Waukesha campus, said he also is talking with UW-Platteville about offering an engineering degree here, and other four-year institutions about degrees in business and information ...
