Karl Nixon proved that boat fishing was the best way to get ahead
at Foremark Fishery as he netted a 6lb 10oz rainbow trout.
Nixon, visiting from Lancaster, caught the overwintered specimen
using a black buzzer, while fishing from a boat in Bush Bay.
Phil Pinder has similar success on the boat, catching seven
rainbows in one session using a floating line with hopper and PTN
nymphs.
Sport, in general, has been difficult, however, with few anglers
taking their bag limit.
Those on the bank have struggled the most, with sport picking up
later in the day.
The best areas have been around the Cage, the Sailing Club, the
Boils and along the Dam Wall to the Cascade.
