Devon people living with long-term conditions are being given
free support.
The Expert Patients Programme will help them develop skills,
confidence and knowledge, and become more independent and informed
about their condition.
The EPP, run by Devon Primary Care Trust, is led by tutors
experienced in living with a long-term condition.
Skills they will pass on include relaxation techniques, dealing
with tiredness, healthy eating, coping with feelings of anger and
depression, communicating with family, friends and healthcare
professionals and planning for the future.
