East Riding: A group of youngsters taking part in the Humberside
Police Lifestyle project are appealing for a mechanical digger to
further their efforts.
The Little Cherries team are spending the summer refurbishing an
old wooden play area at The Meadows in Cherry Burton and have so far
cleared weeds and nettles.
The team, including 11-year-olds Luke Bellamy, of Beverley, Anna
Gregg, of Leconfield, and Lucy Holland and Matthew Oglesby, both of
Cherry Burton, need a digger to remove a mound that has brought the
revamp to a standstill.
The digger will help prepare the ground for new play equipment.
